J.B. is an undergraduate physics major who is in his senior year. He has participated in many of the solar research and education through astronomy projects at UNT, but his primary focus so far has been on Sun-Earth interactions. His current topic of research concerns the connection between the El Nino cycle and solar activity. In the near future he plans to pursue a PhD in astronomy from the University of Texas.
